I would like to say thank you again for the incredible experiences and opportunities I gained through the XYZ Summer Internship Program. I learned a lot about animal handling, crowd management, and event planning. I would also be remiss if I didn't take note of the fact that there is currently a Zookeeper Assistant position open. I would like to be considered for the role.
I am very familiar with the position, having filled it part-time over the last three months. Having already learned the ropes, I believe that I would be an immediate asset to the team, especially since I have built a wonderful professional rapport with Katie and Jon. The animals also know me by sight, and I have always completed cleanings and feedings with little supervision and no error.
I love XYZ. It has built in me a desire to work with animals for the rest of my career and to provide a safe and educational space for people to learn about the world around them. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to continue to work here. Thank you for your consideration.
